Parent to Parent of Western NY presents the bilingual workshop Understanding School Behavior Plans on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This workshop will teach families all about the special education process, including what to expect at meetings of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) or the Committee on Preschool Speical Educaiton (CPSE). Designed to help families learn how to take an active role in the education process, this class provides useful resources for the future.

What questions should you ask and whom do you ask? When should families start thinking about and planning for adult life? In this workshop participants will understand the special education system’s responsibilities regarding all areas of living…”Live, Learn, Work and Play.” An introduction to community based services will be provided.

This workshop makes understanding that process easier. It provides parents or caregivers with information about everyone’s rights and what to expect throughout the process.

La Red de Padres de Western NY presenta el taller bilingüe Disciplina y suspensión escolar el martes 4 de diciembre de 10 a.m. a 12 p.m. Las escuelas deben seguir reglas específicas al suspender a cualquier niño con una discapacidad. Este taller facilita la comprensión de ese proceso. Proporciona a los padres o cuidadores información sobre los derechos de todos y qué esperar durante todo el proceso.
