SUPAC presents the workshop Life After High School: College Is and Option for All with three presentations in one night, Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The presentations include:

  • Transition Planning: Tools & Tips - Post-Secondary Transition is planning and preparing for one's future after high school while still in school. In this workshop, participants will learn about the transition process for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Transition planning timelines and tasks will be reviewed.
  • Through the Same Door: A Story of Self-Advocacy - Micah Fialka-Feldman, a self-advocate, teaching assistant, outreach coordinator, national speaker, and pioneer who fights for disability pride, justice and inclusion will speak.
  • InclusiveU at Syracuse University - InclusiveU is an initiative of the Taishoff Center for Inclusive Higher Education, committed to individualized and inclusive higher educational opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Offering real opportunities for students to participate in every aspect of campus life. SU Coursework, sporting and social events, and the strong inclusive community are what makes InclusiveU a success.
