Tourette Association of America, Greater New York State Chapter presents the conference Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders in the Classroom on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. This conference will provide workshops for all education personnel, SUNY students, outside service providers and families. The topics presented include:

  • Criteria for diagnosing Tourette Syndrome
  • Associated Disorders (ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Fine Motor Deficits, and Sensory Processing)
  • Behaviors associate with TS, ADHD, OCD, and LD
  • Impact of those disorders on performance and behavior
  • Specific classroom strategies and techniques for these disorders
  • Introduction to a Functional Behavioral Assessment for children with neurological disorders

   

The fee for the workshop is $40 which includes breakfast, lunch, break snacks and all materials. A student fee of $10 is available, but does not include lunch.
