Lions Camp Badger offers two-week long summer programs for campers with functional differences (such as intellectual disability, autism, cerebral palsy, etc.). Campers are grouped by age (12-20 year olds in one session, 21+ in another). We welcome nonverbal campers and encourage the use of communication devices! We also work with families whose campers may need to bring 1:1 support with them. It is recommended these families start the registration process very early, as it takes some time to make arrangements to best meet the needs of their campers. We will also offer a five-day camp program for individuals ages 12-17 with behavioral/emotional disabilities!

Lions Camp Badger is staffed by certified special education teachers, skilled medical professionals, and dedicated, energetic college students. Prior to camp, they have all undergone extensive training in safety, CPR/first aid, special needs, behavior management, and communication support. Staff and volunteers who work directly with campers undergo extensive security checks per American Camping Association guidelines. Parents may choose to receive frequent updates on their camper throughout the session. We understand how difficult it can be to put your loved one in the hands of others, and we do everything possible to assure they receive exceptional care and attention while they are with us.
