The Adaptive Teen Time at the Brooklyn Public Library offers teens with and without disabilities the opportunity to learn skills and make friends in a collaborative environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking skills.

 

Play a game, create music or make a new friend at the Adaptive Teen Time Progam.

The New York City Transit Museum and Extreme Kids and Crew present Special Day for Special Kids on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Special Day is an early opening for children of all ages with disabilities and their families. Participants may come dressed up in favorite subway colors and have fun with subway-themed activities in the museum.

The event will also feature:

  • Music by sensory-friendly DJ Reborn
  • Costumed Storyteller on the museum's Bluebird train car
  • Chill-out room to relax
  • Exclusive access to the Museum before it opens to the public.
