The Adaptive Teen Time at the Brooklyn Public Library offers teens with and without disabilities the opportunity to learn skills and make friends in a collaborative environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking skills.

 

Play a game, create music or make a new friend at the Adaptive Teen Time Progam.

Brooklyn Public Library Inclusive Services presents Understanding Diploma Options & Pathways on Wednesday, Mar. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Learn what it takes to obtain a local, Regents, and Advanced Regents diploma, as well as alternate pathways such as a high school equivalency degree and CDOS credential, and develop a plan to achieve high school graduation goals. For parents of students who will take or have taken standard Regents exams and are currently in high school.

   

This workshop will be presented by Alia Roth and Lindsay Blankenship from INCLUDEnyc.

INCLUDEnyc presents the workshop Parenting a Child with a Disability on Thursday, March 28 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. An INCLUDEnyc family educator will share their personal and professional experiences parenting and advocating for their child with disabilities. Discussion includes navigating the NYC public school system, relationships with family members, and other communities.

INCLUDEnyc presents the workshop Parent IEP Member Training Session on Thursday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Become a certified Parent Member of the IEP Team. The Parent Member is a member of the IEP team that supports a parent of a child with a disability at their IEP meeting. In this state approved training, participants will learn about procedures and regulations, as well as how to promote the parent's understanding and participation.
